Job summary

SirenOpt, Inc. is seeking a Staff Quality Engineer to establish and scale quality practices ensuring reliable products across the organization. You will drive verification and validation, strengthen documentation, and analyze quality metrics to support deployment and long-term operational excellence.

Collaborate with engineering across product development to design robust test strategies, implement QMS processes, and guide root-cause analysis and CAPA actions in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• 8–12 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience from concept through development, verification and validation, manufacturing readiness, and commercial release.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS documentation practices; audit readiness.
• Experience with requirements and test management tools (e.g., Jama).
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and test protocols at their site.
• Strong statistical background with DoE, gauge R&R, multivariate analysis; JMP or Minitab.
• Familiarity with FMEA, CAPA, NCR, control plans, MSA, and document control systems.
• Experience in startup or fast-paced environments; ability to implement practical quality systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze quality tests across hardware, firmware, and software to ensure performance and conformance.
• Inform verification and validation strategy and execution for the standalone tool, including system-level test planning and release support.
• Establish and implement foundational quality systems, including QMS processes, SOPs, templates, and controlled docs.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, risks, tests, and quality evidence.
• Support process validation activities for manufacturing, assembly, calibration, and test processes.
• Apply statistical methods to evaluate product and process performance and variation.
• Drive root cause investigation, corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, inspection strategies, and quality planning.
• Help create scalable quality practices for a startup environment and growth.
• Support quality needs across broader product portfolio as products mature.
