Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

Duties
The psychologist is located in the TVHS PTSD Clinical Team (PCT) as part of the Mental Health Care Line, reporting to the PCT Program Manager. The PCT provides evidence-based PTSD therapy for veterans across the lifespan, both virtually and in person. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, evidence-based, time-limited PTSD treatments, conducting diagnostic interviews, assessments, consultation, and group psychotherapy. The role involves shared decision-making and measurement-based care.

Psychologist Job Duties Include:

  1. Diagnose mental disorders and conduct psychological, cognitive, and neuropsychological assessments.
  2. Treat mental disorders using various modalities and provide adjunctive interventions.
  3. Perform psycho-diagnostic services, assessments, and treatment planning.
  4. Provide individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, consultation, and psychoeducation.
  5. Consult with medical staff and participate in program evaluation and research activities.
  6. Participate in multidisciplinary teams for care and discharge planning.
  7. Provide training and supervision to trainees and staff.
  8. Contribute to Psychology Training Programs and provide leadership guidance.
  9. Serve as a consultant to other staff and trainees, and possibly hold faculty appointments.
  10. Create and analyze program outcomes and monitor quality assurance.
  11. Complete clinical documentation timely and oversee research programs if applicable.
  12. Present research findings at professional meetings.

Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, with consideration for alternate tours.
