Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Staff Psychologist for the TVHS Mental Health Care Line (Outpatient). The role emphasizes diagnostic interviews, assessments, and psychotherapy for adults, with a focus on PTSD and substance use disorders.

Tele-mental health and interdisciplinary collaboration are key components of daily duties. The incumbent will provide supervision to trainees and may engage in research activities while delivering high-quality care within a comprehensive VA

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S. citizen
• Licensure: full current license to practice psychology in the U.S.
• APA/CPA-accredited doctoral program or equivalent specialization
• Internship training and board-eligible/board-certified status as applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic interviews and assessments for adult patients.
• Deliver psychotherapy including modalities for PTSD and comorbid conditions.
• Conduct tele-mental health services as appropriate.
• Collaborate with medical center staff and units on patient care issues.
• Supervise psychology trainees and unlicensed psychology staff as needed.
