Job summary

1600 The McLean Hospital Corporation is looking for a full-time staff psychologist for its renowned McLean3East Partial Hospital Program. This DBT program focuses on adolescents struggling with suicidality and emotional dysregulation. The position requires conducting assessments, providing therapy, and supervising trainees in a team-oriented environment.

Ideal candidates will have a Doctor of Psychology degree and experience in evidence-based practices. Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage time effectively are essential. This is an onsite role, requiring a scheduled 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

Job Summary

MGB McLean3East Partial Hospital Program (PHP) is recruiting for a full‑time staff psychologist. The McLean3East PHP is internationally known as a leader in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adolescents and young adults. The3East PHP specializes in the treatment of suicidality, self‑harm behavior, and emotional dysregulation. As a DBT program housed within a world‑class academic medical center, we have access to consultation from leading experts across specialties, allowing for more comprehensive, effective, and robust treatment for patients with complex comorbid conditions. We are a four‑week (20‑day) program serving young people of all genders aged14 through early20s. 3East programs offer a full‑model DBT treatment woven into all aspects of clinical care.

Qualifications
  • Education: Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology required or Doctor of Psychology in Child Psychology required.
  • Licenses and Credentials: Psychologist [State License] – generic – HR only preferred.
  • Experience: Evidence‑based practices (e.g., CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT) and clinical intervention with children and/or adolescents; presence to large and small audiences; supervising psychology trainees. 0–1 year preferred for these experiences.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent clinical interviewing and assessment/therapy skills to work with patients and families.
    • Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
    • Strong customer service orientation.
    • Strong quantitative analytical abilities.
    • Ability to recognize medical conditions and refer for appropriate care.
    • Proficient in therapeutic techniques.
    • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
