Texas Health and Human Services Commission seeks a Staff Psychiatrist III to provide advanced psychiatric assessments and treatments at Big Spring State Hospital. The role includes leadership of the recovery team, development of patient-centered plans, and collaboration with multiple disciplines.

The position requires an unrestricted Texas medical license (MD/DO) with board eligibility or certification in psychiatry. Telework may be available; occasional travel and overtime are possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead psychiatric assessments and treatments per hospital policy.
• Coordinate with Recovery Team to develop individualized care plans.
• Supervise and train direct care staff as needed within hospital structure.
