Job Summary

Under general direction of the Senior Psychiatrist, the Staff Psychiatrist in Mental Health Services is a member of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team providing general population outpatient services to inmates. The staff psychiatrist performs psychiatric evaluations, participates in treatment planning and case reviews, prescribes medications, provides crisis intervention and psychotherapy, and offers consultations and training in treatment approaches to clinical and custody staff.

• Authorized HAM rate: $30,259 or $31,136.
• Pay differential of 15% for direct patient care on premises for those assigned to inpatient care.
• Eligible for recruitment and retention stipend of up to $10,000 one-time and up to $5,000 monthly differential during first year.
• Eligible for $5,000 referral bonus for current employees who remain employed 90 days.
