Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations of inmates.

• Consult and train both clinical and custody staff on treatment approaches.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary treatment team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric social workers—providing general population outpatient services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Staff Psychiatrist, Correctional and Rehabilitative Services (Safety) (9758).

Benefits

• Pay differential of 15% of monthly base pay for employees physically located on the facility and providing direct in‑person patient care for more than 50% of the pay period.
• Recruitment and retention stipend up to $10,000 and a monthly differential of up to $5,000 during the first year with CDCR/CCHCS.
• Potential referral bonus of up to $5,000 for current CDCR/CCHCS employees who refer a successful candidate.
• Other benefits as defined by CDCR and CCHCS policies.
