Job description

Role

Databricks continues to grow organically and through numerous strategic acquisitions. We’re looking to scale our M&A engine to handle high-volume and high-complexity deals. As the Staff Program Manager, you will oversee and lead the "engine room" of our People M&A team, transforming manual workflows, undocumented process, and numerous spreadsheets into a world-class, automated execution machine. You will bridge the gap between Corporate Development and our functional People teams to ensure every "Brickster" joins with a seamless, error-free experience.

We are looking for a strategic builder who think from first principles. You don’t just follow a playbook; you engineer the platform that allows us to scale. You are someone who moves seamlessly between detailed strategy and deep-dive execution, energized by the technical complexity of M&A and the fast-paced velocity of our growth.

The impact you will have
  • Standardize the Playbook: Operationalize tribal knowledge into a documented, E2E M&A Playbook and Knowledge Hub to eliminate dependency on a small group of experts.
  • Drive Automation: Partner with People Tech to design and execute the "Tech Efficiency Roadmap," utilizing automation and AI into our workflows/deal phases.
  • Execution Leadership: Lead the People M&A phases of the deal. Manage the complex orchestration of recruiting, IT onboarding, and HR operations from deal disclosure through Day 1.
  • Data Integrity: Design and establish "Single Source of Truth" protocols and data ownership matrices to ensure 100% accuracy in employee data across all systems.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the primary POC of the People team (TA, Benefits, PeopleOps, People Partners, Global Mobility) to ensure the People M&A priorities are roadmapped, tracked and implemented.
What we look for
  • 8+ years of M&A experience
  • Speed matters, you don't wait for a playbook; you plan fast, drive alignment and execute
  • You’re a problem solver, with multiple successful M&A project and process transformations
  • Deep technical knowledge of People processes
  • Experience designing, scaling, transforming People workflows
  • Strategy & planning mindset, execution/delivery, influencing executive stakeholders
