Job summary

Moog is seeking a Staff Program Manager for its Military OEM Group in the East Aurora/Buffalo area. This on-site role leads a major production program exceeding $100 million in annual revenue, reporting to the Business Unit General Manager.

You will coordinate across functions, manage budgets and schedules, and drive performance with customers and internal teams. Required: BS in science and 10+ years in program management, plus 5+ years PM experience, strong leadership and communication skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree and at least 10 years of professional work experience, preferably in program management/engineering.
• Five or more years of program management experience.
• Proven ability to lead, organize, and influence cross-functional teams through outstanding communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and communicating budgets, plans, and schedules for multiple initiatives.
• Knowledge of contractual requirements and scope adherence; ability to manage under pressure with multiple priorities.

Our Military OEM Groupin East Aurora, NYisin in search of a Staff Program Manager to manage one of Moog's largest production programs generating more than $100 million in revenue. You will report to the Business Unit General Manager. We’re seeking a motivated leader to collaborate externally with our customers and internally with our teams and management to meet or exceed program expectations.

This position requires an on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY with competitive relocation support to help qualified candidates transition smoothly to the NY area.

To be considered for theStaff Program Manager, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, with a minimum of ten years of professional work experience, preferably in program management and/or engineering.
• Five + years of Program Management related work experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on delivering on schedule, quality and financial performance.
• Strong ability to lead, organize, and influence people across functions through outstanding communication and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and communicating program budgets, plans and schedules for multiple initiatives.
• Demonstrated knowledge in understanding contractual requirements and scope adherence.
• Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Project Management Professional certificate is a plus.
• Travel: Approximately 15% travel to Moog facilities and customer sites.

As aStaff Program Manager, you will:

• Optimize the program success through strong collaboration and influence with other stakeholders across sites and functions within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements through coordination and management of all program activities.
• Achieve program/project objectives through effective application of program management principles within the confines of scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage cost and schedule performance to achieve development program objectives and ensure compliance by monitoring the status of cost, schedule, and task completion.
• Ensure proper coordination between all program elements by developing and managing program plans with detailed schedules.
• Achieve timely resolution of outstanding issues through effective day-to-day communications with the customer, Moog management, and Moog internal cross-functional teams.
• Works effectively with functional groups to develop recovery plans when necessary.
• Support process improvements and standard work implementation within Program Management.
• Sustain and expand Moog’s book of business through the leadership and/or support of proposal teams and business capture campaigns.
• Travel: Approximately 15% travel to Moog facilities and customer sites.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $140,000.00–$190,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
