Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Product Support Engineer for the Research & Advanced Design group. The role is onsite in El Segundo or San Diego, CA, and focuses on overseeing product support activities and ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met within the SOW.

The candidate will lead internal/external teams, coordinate requirements, design, verification, and validation, and maintain strong customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in STEM with 12+ years experience OR MS with 10+ years OR PhD with 8+ years.
• Active US Government Secret (or higher) clearance with BI within past 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable time.
• Experience in Integrated Logistics Elements: Reliability & Maintainability, Prognostic Health Management, Modeling & Simulation, Obsolescence Management, Fleet & Field Support, Support Equipment Engineering, Logistics Support Analysis, Supportable Low Observables, Support Hardware, and/or Technical Publications and Training.
• Experience in Supportability Engineering: RR, RM, DMSMS, and/or fleet modeling; and experience in proposals/capture for Product Support.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight of all Product Support technical activities.
• Ensures a robust systems engineering approach to support aircraft design and proposals.
• Demonstrates knowledge of aircraft systems including air vehicle, mission computing, communications, and sensors.
• Demonstrates knowledge of logistics disciplines including Supportability, Reliability, Maintainability, Testability, M&S, Provisioning, and Spares/Repairs.
