Job summary

Airwallex’s Information Security team seeks a Staff Product Security Engineer to join a hands-on security, infrastructure-focused role. You’ll partner with Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering to protect systems and data while enabling fast-moving business teams.

This senior role is based in San Francisco, Sydney, or Melbourne and requires expertise in designing, developing, and managing security for networks, systems, and applications, with a focus on incident response and threat detection.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering or incident response at a tech company.
• Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of dev tools and CI/CD pipelines; incident response experience.

Responsibilities

• Create security controls to scale securely across apps and services.
• Develop detection strategies and incident response workflows.
• Enhance secure systems via integration, testing, and maintenance practices.
• Utilize endpoint, network, and cloud telemetry to identify and mitigate threats.
• Maintain cybersecurity infrastructure to improve resilience.
• Collaborate with teams to embed security in new/existing software.
