Job description

Position Summary

As a Staff Product Manager, you will own a benefit domain and help shape how benefits work together to create a compelling and differentiated membership experience. You will drive strategy across first‑party (1P) and/or third‑party (3P) benefits, identify opportunities to increase member value, and partner across product, engineering, design, analytics, business development, and operations teams to build scalable experiences and capabilities that strengthen the Walmart+ ecosystem. Your work will influence not only individual benefit performance, but also how members perceive, engage with, and derive value from Walmart+ as a whole.

About the Team

At Walmart, we believe the best products start with a deep understanding of customer and member needs. We lead with integrity, empathy, and respect, and share a commitment to doing what is right for our customers, members, and associates. The Walmart+ Benefits and International Expansion team is responsible for bringing our membership value proposition to life and scaling membership globally.

Responsibilities
  • Drive strategy and execution for complex products, owning end‑to‑end outcomes from discovery through value realization.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the value proposition by improving benefit discovery, activation, engagement, measurement, and retention.
  • Translate customer insights, business goals, market trends, and partner needs into clear roadmaps and investment priorities.
  • Define and maintain multi‑quarter product vision, roadmaps, and success metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business partners to manage risk, dependencies, and priorities.
  • Utilize data‑driven decision making and experimentation to validate assumptions and inform product direction.
  • Build scalable capabilities and frameworks that reduce complexity, accelerate launches, and support multiple benefit and partner ecosystems.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading product strategy and managing roadmaps for complex products.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • Expertise in data‑driven decision making, including advanced analytics and experimentation to validate product assumptions and shape recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs through design thinking and journey mapping.
  • Ability to define clear product vision, KPIs, and trade‑offs aligned with business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their application to product innovation.
  • Technical product leadership across APIs, partner integrations, identity, data platforms, or complex systems, partnering with engineering on architecture and reusable patterns.
Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in product management. Option 2: 9 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 6 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer‑facing, large‑scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
  • Experience creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and commitment to Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
