Kraken’s Pro business unit is responsible for our global exchange businesses and trading platforms, including our flagship Kraken Pro web and mobile products and matching infrastructure across spot, margin and derivative products. Our secure, trusted platform and deep liquidity fuel a wide range of clients and partners, from individuals making their first trade on our powerful yet elegant GUIs, to the most sophisticated algorithmic trading firms and prime brokerages.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Staff Product Manager to help with the development and evolution of our Pro web and mobile platforms. Our objectives are to provide clients with world class trading platforms -- This means beautiful UI, sleek UX, deep customization and advanced features. We serve clients from aspiring traders who need simplicity and support through to super users who need high performance, modularity and choice. The successful candidate will own initiatives end to end, move fast, communicate clearly and dig deep to help us meet these objectives.

The opportunity

Contribute to the development of the overall product strategy, product roadmap, and business plan while developing product documentation including specifications, wireframes, site-maps, and process flows

Actively prioritize the backlog and contribute to pre planning, prioritization and user story mapping sessions

Triage bugs, user feedback as well as internal feedback to prioritise work for engineering teams

Perform User Acceptance Testing and ensure requirements were understood and implemented as requested

Evaluate new product opportunities and bring forward proposals for products to engage traders, investors and institutions while performing research to gain market insights across the industry

Influence product and technology strategy and direction (roadmap), and product and user experience decision-making

Evangelize the power of analytics and experimentation in building a data-driven organization

Facilitate communication across all project phases and proactively alert management of changes to scope, timelines and resources

Define, track and analyze KPIs to understand product performance, client behaviour and to guide data-driven product development

Skills you should HODL
  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • First hand experience in working across both cryptocurrency and traditional markets
  • Background working with User Experience and Design
  • Ability to convey business requirements to technical colleagues and vice versa
  • Strong quantitative and analysis skills
  • Passion, self-drive and Intellectual honestly
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to distill complex ideas
Nice to haves
  • Experience in both traditional finance and the digital asset space
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and collaborating with legal and compliance
  • Understanding of margin trading, futures, FX, options, backend systems and flow-of-funds
