Job summary

Pinterest is seeking Staff Product Managers for its Applied Sciences group to shape the next chapter of the AI/ML platform. You will merge research ambition with product discipline to define the roadmap, abstractions, and strategy for personalized experiences on a leading discovery platform.

You will partner with science, engineering, research, and product teams to translate technical roadmaps into product bets with measurable success, while balancing innovation, adoption, scale, and long-term

Qualifications

7+ years of Product Management experience or equivalent.
Experience owning a shared ML or AI platform for internal engineering and product teams.
Experience shipping AI/ML products into production on high-traffic consumer surfaces.
Strong platform product instincts and ecosystem thinking: balance foundation with surface needs.
Technical credibility with ML/AI teams on topics like representation learning & production readiness.
Strong cross-functional credibility and ability to build trust with demanding partners.
Governance and lifecycle discipline including deprecation, debt, and scaling costs.
Strong strategic judgment and executive communication.

Responsibilities

Shape the product vision and roadmap across Pinterest's Applied Sciences portfolio.
Partner with teams to ensure adoption and avoid silos.
Translate roadmaps into product bets with clear success criteria.
Define platform value metrics: adoption, quality, time to production, costs.
Evaluate modeling tradeoffs and support experimentation at scale across surfaces.
