Job Summary:

Supermicro is searching for a highly motivated Staff Product Manager to play a key role in expanding our total IT product business across server, networking, and storage. The ideal Staff Product Manager candidate will have superior knowledge, leadership, analytical, and strategic skills. The Staff Product Manager is responsible for the product planning, promotion, and execution throughout the product life cycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The person will also provide technical architectural support and guidance for sales opportunities that involve converged infrastructure, management, and automation, including integration with select 3rd party products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take lead and initiate product marketing inquiries, partner closely with sales and marketing to generate powerful marketing content - including technical presentation and whitepapers to promote solution and enable business opportunities.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet company strategic targets.

  • Collaborate with system engineering team to drive the full product lifecycle, from proof-of-concept to end-of-life.

  • Partner closely with internal teams to resolve customer's inquiry in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and FAE to support pre-sales engagement.

  • Develop and manage network security product as part of the DCBBS (Data Center Building Block Solution).


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering or with equivalent practical experiences; Master's degree is a plus.


* Minimum of 12 years' experience in the hardware or solution service provider with focus on server, networking, and/or storage as a product or program manager.


* Work efficiently under pressure in cross-functional, fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.


* Ability to communicate efficiently in verbal, written, and presentation with the ability to persuade both internal and external clients through various channels.


* Operate in an ambiguous environment, taking charge, and having an attention to detail without becoming lost in the details


* Ability to travel as required.


Salary Range

$185,000 - $210,000


The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
