Morgan Pinnacle Group in New York City is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to define the technical direction for new AI-native developer tools. This high-impact, hands-on role requires owning architecture from definition to production and leading with clear guidance across engineering.
The ideal candidate has substantial experience in TypeScript and React, excels in ambiguity, and can deliver high-quality products in a fast-growing startup environment.
Location: New York City - Flatiron
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: On-Site, 5 Days/Week
Base Salary: 280K-380K
Equity: Significant Early-Stage Equity
Visa: Existing visa transfers may be considered; no net-new visa sponsorship
We're working with a fast-growing developer infrastructure company building the next generation of AI-native developer tooling.
The company initially built infrastructure that makes CI workloads significantly faster and more cost-effective. Its platform now serves thousands of companies and operates at substantial scale, including tens of millions of virtual machines each month, 100K+ concurrent vCPUs, and petabyte-scale storage infrastructure.
After reaching approximately $10M ARR in less than two years, the team is expanding beyond its core CI platform into new products, including infrastructure for running agent sandboxes at scale and background coding agents.
The company has raised $58.5M from Seed through Series B and is intentionally building a small, highly selective engineering organization.
We're looking for a Staff Product Engineer to help set the technical direction for entirely new products.
This is a high-impact, hands-on individual contributor role for an engineer who has already taken exceptional products from 01, can operate effectively in highly ambiguous environments, and is comfortable owning decisions from architecture through production.
You’ll be one of the company’s key technical authorities, working directly with technical leadership to turn product and business strategy into real products.
This is not a people-management role. You'll remain deeply involved in designing and building software while influencing technical direction and raising engineering standards across the team.
Own and drive the architectural direction of new products
Design and build next-generation AI-native developer tooling
Take new products from 01, from initial problem definition through production
Translate product and business strategy into technical roadmaps and execution plans
Make important systems, architecture, and product engineering decisions
Own production outcomes, including reliability, performance, and operational excellence
Mentor senior engineers and raise technical standards across the team
Work effectively in ambiguous problem spaces where both the problem and solution still need to be defined
Help advance how the engineering organization uses AI and coding agents to build software
7-20 years of experience as a full-stack/product engineer
Demonstrated experience owning 01 product builds end-to-end
Proven experience designing, building, and deploying exceptional products in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
Strong technical fundamentals across the full stack, particularly TypeScript and React
Experience setting and shaping technical direction while remaining a hands-on individual contributor
Experience taking technically complex products from an early stage through adoption and delivering an exceptional customer experience
Applied AI experience and/or compelling experience using AI coding agents or agentic development workflows
Strong architectural and systems-design capabilities
Excellent communication and clarity of thought
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong judgment around technical and product trade-offs
Comfort with significant ownership, ambiguity, and a fast-moving environment
Ability to work in person 5 days/week in New York City
Experience at a developer tools or infrastructure startup building products for engineers is particularly valuable.
The strongest candidates will combine deep technical ability with product instincts: engineers who don't just build technically impressive systems, but understand the user, make thoughtful product decisions, and take responsibility for the quality of the final experience.
The stated base salary range is 280K-380K, along with significant early-stage equity.
Compensation will depend on experience and fit, and there may be additional flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
This position is based in Flatiron, New York City and requires 5 days/week in the office.
This is not a remote or hybrid position. Candidates outside NYC should be prepared to relocate.
The company can consider candidates with existing visa transfers, including applicable OPT or H-1B transfers.
The company is not able to provide net-new visa sponsorship.

In-person technical product-build challenge at the company’s New York City office.
