Job summary

Valon Mortgage, Inc. is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead end-to-end design for our Product Infrastructure team. You’ll shape the foundations of Valon’s scalable mortgage servicing platform and empower other product teams to move faster with higher quality.

In this role, you’ll mentor designers, drive user-centered research, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and operators to deliver elegant, reusable solutions across our SaaS product.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product design experience, preferably in a D2C fintech environment.
• A portfolio showcasing design fundamentals, systems thinking, and user-centered problem solving.
• Track record shipping end-to-end product experiences from concept to launch.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with clarity and structure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of foundational platform capabilities and design system.
• Contribute to product strategy with a user-centered perspective.
• Drive user research and translate insights for operators and technical teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver generalized tools.
• Mentor designers and foster a culture of high-quality craft.
