Job summary

Valon seeks a Senior Product Designer to join our Mortgage Delinquency Team, crafting user experiences for homeowners facing financial hardship and building servicing tools for agents. You’ll distill complex edge cases into simple flows, partner with product, engineering, legal, and stakeholders, and deliver high-quality, compliant solutions in ambiguity.

Design end-to-end journeys, mentor junior designers, evolve our design system, and ensure a cohesive experience across products and platforms

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with user-centered product design.
A solid portfolio.
Experience working within the context of digital products.
Ability to balance methodological rigor with scrappiness and creativity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design large-scale zero-to-one product experiences from research to delivery.
Build expertise in multiple DQ verticals and switch contexts efficiently in a fast, iterative environment.
Create user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that align with business goals.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, legal experts, and stakeholders to ensure feasibility, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
Champion user-centered design principles and mentor junior designers.
