Job summary

Thrive Market is seeking a Staff Designer embedded in the Discovery Pod to own search and browse end to end, shaping how members find great products and experiences. You will partner with design, product, engineering, data, and ML teams to translate complex ranking signals into clear, accessible interfaces.

The role requires 6+ years of product design, a strong portfolio, and hands-on Figma expertise. Thrive Market offers comprehensive benefits, equity, and a beautiful Playa Vista office.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product design or UX/UI experience, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end initiatives at a senior to staff level.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design skills.
  • Hands-on expertise in Figma and other industry standard design tools.
  • Experience applying user research methods and A/B testing to inform data driven design decisions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate design rationale to cross-functional partners.
  • P5 Background working in e-commerce, subscription-based businesses, or consumer-facing digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design across products.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system, collaborating with the design system owner as needed, to keep it consistent and scalable.
  • Mentor other designers with feedback and guidance that supports the whole team.
  • Design filter and facet UX that scales as catalog size and attribute complexity grow

THE ROLE

You’ll join Thrive Market's Product Design team as a Staff Designer embedded in the Discovery Pod, owning search and browse end to end. You'll work alongside the existing design team, bringing strategic clarity to each initiative you own rather than just executing what's in front of you.
