Job summary

Affirm, a remote-first fintech, seeks a Staff Product Designer to lead AI-enabled, agentic experiences across consumer touchpoints. You’ll chart when and how AI enhances the moment, partnering with Product to define a roadmap and outcomes.

The role balances high-intent UI with the expansive power of AI, shaping trust and clarity in financial interactions. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, embrace agile iteration, and craft polished visual and interaction systems.

Qualifications

• Proven AI-driven design experience for complex consumer products.
• Experience designing conversational AI or agentic interfaces.
• Strong prototyping for non-linear, multi-modal flows.
• Deep understanding of human-centered AI principles.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive AI/agentic design initiatives for Affirm’s consumer experience.
• Create intuitive, proactive conversational patterns and trustable interactions.
• Define the design language for future AI-driven interactions across touchpoints.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, marketing and research.
• Iterate quickly with data-driven decisions while maintaining a long-term vision.
• Ensure scalable, coherent design across the Affirm ecosystem.
• Push boundaries to drive innovation in financial products.
