Job summary

BetterUp is seeking a Staff Product Designer to shape the next generation of our platform and design language. You’ll align with product, research, engineering, and design leaders to define the north star for our experience architecture, mentor senior designers, and evolve our design system with elegance and rigor.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design with system-level design, platform thinking and multi-surface experiences.
  • Proven success leading design strategy and execution for high‑impact, high‑complexity initiatives.
  • Portfolio showcasing visionary work balancing clarity, craft and strategic insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product direction at a senior leadership level.
  • Experience mentoring and leading other designers, fostering autonomy and alignment.
  • Mastery in information architecture, interaction design, and visual systems thinking.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a track record of uniting stakeholders around a shared vision.

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll shape the next generation of BetterUp’s platform and design language. What You’ll Do

The base salary range for this role is as follows:

New York City and San Francisco: $220,000 - $276,000

Austin and Arlington: $198,000 - 20
