Job summary

Lyten is seeking a Staff Process Quality Engineer to bridge production, engineering, and quality. You will own quality for production lines, lead investigations, and implement data-driven improvements using DOE/SPC methodologies.

You will mentor technicians and engineers, drive SOPs, maintain QMS/NC systems, and collaborate with engineering to scale processes across facilities. This role emphasizes analytics, automation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or related technical field.
• 7+ years combined quality and process engineering experience.
• 3+ years in battery cell manufacturing and/or development.
• Strong knowledge of DOE, SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, and ISO 9001.
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (JMP, Minitab, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Experience in Python or R for statistics or automation.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, reporting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Own quality for assigned production lines and monitor in‑line quality.
• Lead investigations using 5Why, Fishbone, 6-sigma, or DOE methods.
• Document findings with corrective/preventive actions and publish reports.
• Provide weekly quality reports with data visualization and KPI trends.
• Develop trend analysis and predictive insights tied to KPIs (yield, defects).
• Identify repetitive tasks and drive automation using Python or R.
• Operate metrology tools and perform Gauge R&R and tolerance analyses.
