Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, CA seeks a Staff Process Integration Engineer to advance assembly and test processes for memory and logic probe card architectures.

You will partner with Product Architects and Manufacturing Equipment Development to implement in-house technologies impacting mechanical, electrical, and thermal performance, yield, and reliability. The role requires a self-driven, cross-functional leader who can influence and build trust across teams while delivering robust process

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s; or a PhD with 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in assembly and test process development for complex hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Module Ownership: lead assembly and test process development to align with product roadmap.
  • Process Integration: qualify new processes and transition to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Yield and cycle-time improvements using SPC, DOE, and root-cause analysis.
  • Equipment strategy: define and map equipment roadmaps to support capacity and improvement.

This is a highly hands-on technical role that combines deep domain expertise with influence on product performance, manufacturability, and scalable innovation.This individual will partner with Product Architects and Manufacturing Equipment Development teams to implement in-house assembly and test technologies of Memory and Logic Probe card designs. The role is instrumental in advancing and validating mechanical, electrical and thermal performance, improving yield and reliability to make these successful in the field.The ideal candidate is a self-driven technical leader who thrives in a cross-functional environment and brings a balance of execution and rigor. Success in this role requires not only technical excellence, but also the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trust across diverse teams.**Key Responsibilities:*** **Module Ownership and Process development:** Assembly and Test Engineering activities ensuring Product technical excellence and alignment of electrical, mechanical and thermal and manufacturability requirements with product roadmap.* **Process Integration:** Support development and qualification of new processes aligned with technology roadmaps and product launches; partner with operations to transition processes from development to high-volume manufacturing.* **Yield, Cycle Time and Efficiency Optimization:** Implement strategies to improve yield, cycle time and process efficiency using SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis,* **Equipment Engineering Development strategy:** Collaborate with module owners to help them define new equipment structure and roadmaps that support cycle time, capacity and process improvement plans.* **Data-Driven Improvements:** Utilize analytics and process control tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
