Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. is seeking a Staff Process Integration Engineer to drive assembly and test process development for advanced Memory and Logic probe card architectures in our Livermore lab.

This hands-on technical role influences product performance, manufacturability, and scalable innovation. The successful candidate will partner with Product Architects and Manufacturing Equipment Development teams to validate mechanical, electrical, and thermal performance and to improve yield and reliability

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • or 8 years and a Master’s degree;
  • or a PhD with 5 years experience;
  • or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Module Ownership and Process development: Assembly and Test Engineering activities ensuring Product technical excellence and alignment of electrical, mechanical and thermal and manufacturability requirements with product roadmap.
  • Process Integration: Support development and qualification of new processes aligned with technology roadmaps and product launches; partner with operations to transition processes from development to high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Yield, Cycle Time and Efficiency Optimization: Implement strategies to improve yield, cycle time and process efficiency using SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis.
  • Equipment Engineering Development strategy: Collaborate with module owners to help them define new equipment structure and roadmaps that support cycle time, capacity and process improvement plans.
  • Data‑Driven Improvements: Utilize analytics and process control tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions. Communicate performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enterprise Collaboration: Engage with cross‑functional teams to ensure process and build strategies align with enterprise objectives, and long‑term manufacturing and field support strategy.
  • Safety Improvement: Champion a culture of safety within the lab and fab by ensuring compliance with all EHS standards and proactively mitigating process‑related risks through hazard analysis and corrective actions.

Job Description

The Staff Process Integration Engineer will play a critical role within R&D, in assembly and test process development and integration for Advanced Memory and Logic probe card architectures. This is a highly hands‑on technical role that combines deep domain expertise with influence on product performance, manufacturability, and scalable innovation.

This individual will partner with Product Architects and Manufacturing Equipment Development teams to implement in‑house assembly and test technologies of Memory and Logic Probe card designs. The role is instrumental in advancing and validating mechanical, electrical, and thermal performance, improving yield and reliability to make these successful in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Pay Range

$163,400.00 – $214,410.00

Pay Range Explained

This role in Livermore, California pays between $163,400.00 and $214,410.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You’ll also be eligible for quarterly profit‑sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
