Responsibilities

• Lead by example | Be the lead IC and standard-bearer for a growing backend team
• Solve problems creatively | Research and create new SoTA AI practices
• Architect lean systems | Maintain existing microservices infrastructure that is only as complex as it needs to be
• Harden complex workflows | Implement secure features within SOC 2/HIPAA and related compliance frameworks
• Know what’s coming | Suggest solutions for a fast-growing product because you’ve been there before

Requirements

• Formal background in CS or related technical discipline (MS preferred)
• 6+ years of professional backend engineering experience
• Highly skilled in Python and related frameworks (Django, FastAPI, etc.)
• Strong systems design thinker and architect (AWS)
• Significant experience optimizing relational databases and queries
• Lives in or willing to move to NYC
