Job summary

Skydio is hiring a Staff Product Manager to own the Cloud Platform & Infrastructure roadmap, delivering multi‑cloud, multi‑region, and government‑compliant capabilities, including on‑prem offerings for air‑gapped deployments.

You will partner with SRE, cloud engineering, security, legal, GTM, and leadership to build scalable, secure platform foundations that support federal, state, local, and commercial customers while preserving a fast, frictionless user experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years product experience shipping cloud platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products.
• 4+ years in senior/lead product roles delivering large, cross-functional technical programs.
• Deep federal/regulatory domain knowledge or field experience with federal/defense/regulatory customers (FedRAMP, CJIS, DoD RMF, or similar).
• Track record of shipping platform features that improve reliability, scalability, security, and/or cost.
• Strong program management and stakeholder influence skills to align engineering, security, legal, sales, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform roadmap for Cloud Platform & Infrastructure: work with sales, customer success, deployment engineers, and customers to convert recurring pain into a prioritized, outcome-focused plan with clear user stories and success criteria.
• Productize and deliver Skydio On‑Prem: define the roadmap for air‑gapped and self-hosted offerings; lead cross‑functional delivery; own releases, onboarding/runbooks and launch artifacts; run pilots to cut time-to-deploy and manual effort while ensuring security.
• Drive compliance and certification programs (FedRAMP, CJIS, and other frameworks): translate requirements into product/engineering/operational needs; run cross‑functional programs to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Release & expectation management: coordinate release planning, decide what’s in/out, communicate tradeoffs; feed customer feedback into engineering backlog.
• Evangelize & enable: explain platform capabilities across the org, create internal playbooks/artifacts, help GTM teams articulate platform value to customers.
