Job summary

Archer is building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft in San Jose, CA, and is seeking an experienced PLM/Teamcenter Architect to lead architecture and configuration efforts for the PLM/CAD team. The role interfaces with engineering systems, IT, and manufacturing, and requires deep Siemens Teamcenter expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (Masters preferred).
• 10-15 years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter in aerospace/complex manufacturing.
• Experience designing PLM architectures, data models, interfaces and integrations.
• Hands-on programming/configuration: BMIDE, ITK, Workflow Manager, SOAP/REST APIs, Active Workspace customization, scripting (Java, C#, Python).
• Experience integrating PLM with CAD/CAE, ERP, MES, digital simulation/analysis systems, supplier portals.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced configuration and customization of Teamcenter modules (Foundation, Change Management, NX Integration, MPP/Easy Plan, Active Integration, Dispatchers).
• Collaborate with end-users to gather and document system requirements.
• Lead architecture reviews, performance audits, and PLM health checks.
• Guide offshore and junior team members; mentor PLM/IT staff.
• Support data migrations, upgrades, AI integration, and SOA usage.
