Job summary

Firestorm is hiring a Staff Platform Security Engineer to strengthen the security of Crucible and the Firestorm software stack. You’ll implement platform security across cloud, edge, and air‑gapped environments and work directly with engineers to harden deployments and automate controls.

You will focus on identity, device trust, supply chain security, and threat modeling, driving security fixes from design to production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering, platform security, or cloud security experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive platform security execution from design through implementation across Crucible, cloud infrastructure, and edge deployments.
• Build security into the platform with authentication, authorization, secrets, data protection, and boundaries in code.
• Secure cloud and edge deployments by hardening Kubernetes, cloud infra, Linux systems, and air-gapped environments.
• Own identity and trust across connected and disconnected deployments.
• Secure the software supply chain with dependency security, signing, provenance, and deployment controls.
• Identify and remediate security weaknesses through threat modeling, design/code reviews, and fixes.
• Automate security controls into CI/CD, infra, and development workflows.
• Support accreditation with technical evidence and designs for ATO and customer security requirements.
