Job summary

Colossus Technologies Group is seeking Senior and Staff Platform Security Engineers to join a rapidly growing fintech team building a technical Platform Security organization. This role emphasizes building security capabilities within production software and cloud infrastructure rather than only configuring tools.

You’ll work on securing AWS environments, Kubernetes, IAM, and IaC security, integrating security into CI/CD and engineering workflows, and applying AI to threat detection.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Production experience with Python or Go.
• Deep AWS or cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience building security systems or automation.
• Understanding of distributed systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
• Terraform or IaC experience.
• Ability to own a technical problem from architecture through production.

Senior / Staff Platform Security Engineer

Colossus Technologies Group is partnering with a rapidly growing financial technology company to build out a highly technical Platform Security organization.

We’re looking for security-minded software engineers who want to build the systems, tooling and guardrails that secure a large-scale cloud production environment.

This is not a traditional cloud security or DevSecOps position. The strongest candidates will be engineers who can write production software, understand cloud infrastructure deeply and build security capabilities rather than simply configure security products.

What you’ll work on:

• Building security services and internal tooling in Python and/or Go
• Securing large-scale AWS environments and cloud-native infrastructure
• Kubernetes and container security
• IAM, authentication, authorization and least-privilege architecture
• Infrastructure-as-code security and automated policy enforcement
• Security controls embedded into CI/CD and engineering workflows
• Vulnerability detection, prioritization and automated remediation
• Developing scalable security guardrails for engineering teams
• Applying AI and automation to cloud security, vulnerability management and detection
• Designing security systems that are reliable enough to operate as production infrastructure

What we’re looking for:
