Job summary

Colossus Technologies Group is seeking Senior and Staff Platform Security Engineers to join a rapidly growing fintech team building a technical Platform Security organization. This role emphasizes building security capabilities within production software and cloud infrastructure rather than only configuring tools.

You’ll work on securing AWS environments, Kubernetes, IAM, and IaC security, integrating security into CI/CD and engineering workflows, and applying AI to threat detection.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Production experience with Python or Go.
• Deep AWS or cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience building security systems or automation.
• Understanding of distributed systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
• Terraform or IaC experience.
• Ability to own a technical problem from architecture through production.

Responsibilities

• Build security services and internal tooling in Python and Go.
• Secure large-scale AWS environments and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Secure Kubernetes and containers security.
• IAM, authentication, authorization and least-privilege design.
• Infrastructure-as-code security and automated policy enforcement.
• Security controls embedded into CI/CD and engineering workflows.
• Vulnerability detection, prioritization and automated remediation.
• Develop scalable guardrails for engineering teams.
• Apply AI and automation to cloud security, vulnerability management and detection.
• Design security systems that are production-grade.
