webAI is hiring a Staff Platform/Infrastructure Engineer to own the kernel, services and local model inference packaging across bare metal and cloud. You will drive deployment kits, multi‑node and single‑machine installs, and ensure secure, observable, scalable operation.

Responsibilities include building an OpenAI‑like gateway, signal‑driven load balancing, and strong automation with GitLab CI, Terraform, and Ansible. You’ll mentor peers and shape infra‑as‑code culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production infrastructure, including on‑prem/bare metal.
• Deep experience with at least one workload orchestrator (Nomad or Kubernetes).
• Strong Terraform and configuration management (Ansible or similar).
• Production experience with AWS, Azure, or both (IAM, KMS, registries, Kubernetes).
• Solid networking fundamentals: VPNs, firewalls, NAT, load balancers, DNS/TLS.
• Secrets/identity: Vault, PKI, mTLS, OIDC.
• CI/CD and release engineering in GitLab: reproducible builds and signing.
• Observability: Prometheus/Grafana/Loki; on‑call readiness.
• Proficiency in Rust or Go plus Python/Bash scripting.
• Clear technical writing with runbooks and RCAs.

Responsabilités

• Own deployment for the webAI kernel and B2B SDK across bare metal and cloud.
• Lead the move to a leaner next‑gen architecture and deployable kit.
• Choose and evolve orchestration approach; reduce custom infra code.
• Run Apple‑silicon fleets in production with launchd, pf, and Lima/Docker VMs.
• Build the inference serving layer and model gateway with perf/load tests.
• Own the software supply chain: CI, artifacts, signing, pinned builds.
• Secure the platform: Vault, KMS, PKI, OIDC, and network policy.
• Develop observability and alerting; audit trails for customers.
• Define HA, SLOs and write runbooks for operators and customers.
• Mentor engineers and advance infra‑as‑code and testing practices.
