Job summary

Silicon Labs is seeking a Staff Platform Systems Engineer in Austin, TX to translate customer needs into product and architectural requirements and to lead technical feasibility studies for new IoT edge platforms. You will interact with product management, engineering and field teams to shape scalable compute platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in EE or related engineering discipline required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in embedded systems, wireless products, systems engineering, or technical product definition.
Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Translate customer use cases into clear product, system, and architectural requirements.
Drive and conduct technical feasibility studies for new product concepts; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
Lead cross-functional technical investigations and align diverse technical teams on decisions.
