Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to design and implement internal platforms powering our engineering, autonomy, and enterprise operations across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.

In this role you will drive scalable infrastructure, automation, and developer enablement, collaborating with security and infrastructure teams to strengthen security, observability, and reliability while delivering paved paths for developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or SRE roles for large-scale systems.
• Deep hands-on experience designing, building and operating cloud or hybrid infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable internal platform infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code frameworks to accelerate engineering productivity.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, and developer platform tooling.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to embed security controls and compliance into platform architectures.
