Quanta in San Francisco is building a new system of record for finance. As a Staff Engineer on the Platform team, you’ll own foundational systems, ensuring correctness, reliability, and developer leverage, driving high-leverage investments from concept to production.

You’ll work in person with a small, tight-knit team, collaborating with engineering and finance leaders. We value hands-on builders who thrive in ambiguous domains and can translate complex tradeoffs for engineers and non-engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep backend and distributed systems experience.
• Strong systems thinking including API design and data modeling.
• Excellent technical judgment for durable infra vs simple solutions.
• Strong debugging instincts across app, data, and infra.
• Ability to create clarity from ambiguity and identify high-leverage problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration, especially translating tech tradeoffs.
• Hands-on mindset—design and build systems.
