Job summary

Nokia in Sunnyvale seeks an experienced software engineer to develop and maintain test software for Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) test systems. You will drive automation, instrumentation control, and cross‑platform migration across LabVIEW, Python, Matlab, C#.

Lead a small SW team, mentor engineers, and deliver robust test solutions for DC and RF testing of InP-based transceivers across wafer, die, and subassembly stages.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience and/or a graduate degree.
• Experience leading software development and automation projects.
• Experience with LabVIEW, Python, Matlab, and C#/C++.

Overview

The Nokia Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Test Development team is responsible for conducting comprehensive electrical and optical testing of fully integrated InP-based transceiver PICs at the wafer, die, and subassembly levels. Our team plays a critical role in providing design feedback, evaluating both DC and RF performance, and performing rigorous testing and screening throughout the PIC production process. The complexity of our PICs is reflected in the sophistication of our test software.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual with broad software and network skills for developing and maintaining test software and for test automation.
