Job summary

Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc. seeks a Staff Physician for the Walk-In Center/Urgent Care to provide same-day care to patients and support urgent care services. This role includes evening and weekend shifts in Worcester, MA.

The ideal candidate is board-certified in Family Medicine or Med-Peds with an MD/DO, MA license, DEA registration, and BLS. Experience in urgent care or ER is preferred, and collaboration with the Medical Director is required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required with board certification in Family Medicine or Med-Peds.
• Massachusetts medical license and DEA registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years in family/primary care with urgent care/ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients seen in the Walk-In Center for same-day appointments and urgent care.
• Participate fully in urgent care services and patient management.
• Report to the Medical Director of the Walk-In Center and collaborate with the care team.

Job description

The Staff Physician – Walk-In Center/Urgent Care will participate fully in the care of patients seen in the Walk-In Center for same day appointments and urgent care.

Educational Requirements

Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.

Experience Required

Family Practice Residency or Med/Peds Residency required; A minimum of two years of experience in treatment and care of all members of family unit required; experience in urgent care setting or emergency room preferred. Experience in the role of Primary Care Physician preferred.

Professional Licensure/Special Skills and Certification Required

Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med/Peds). Must have current licensure by Massachusetts Board of Registration for Medicine, current DEA/MA Controlled Substance Registration; BLS required.

Must be able to work evenings, rotate for weekend and holiday shifts.
