The Penn State Health Medical Group – Contingency Pool is seeking a determined and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the travel pool team! Spanning over a variety of counties in the South-Central PA area including Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York, and Berks counties; the LPN will be expected to float to different Academic Practice Division (APD) Medical Group offices for daily/weekly work assignments. The APD-based offices do range from General Primary Care to single or multi-specialty offices, so no two-day are alike!
The Licensed Practical Nurse of the Contingency Pool will be expected to perform the following duties in their assigned office: room patients, conduct Point-of-Care Testing, perform phlebotomy and injections, administer medications, and complete asynchronous administrative work. The LPN should anticipate working with varied populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatric patients.
The ideal LPN for this position will be able to work within a team environment and independently. With each assignment, it will be expected that the LPN will meet not only the Contingency’s Pool expectations but also those of the assigned office. It is important to be punctual and fulfilling your bi-weekly assigned schedule.
