An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Staff Physician to lead an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team. The Staff Physician is the primary medical/clinical leader of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and provides psychiatric and medical care to patients under his/her care. The Unit Physician is responsible for the admission and discharge of patients to the Unit, psychiatric and physical examinations, formulation of diagnosis and treatment plans, and performing clinical treatments directly as well as monitoring clinical treatments done by others. The primary work site will be the Salem Campus of the Oregon State Hospital.
OHSU is a teaching facility, and you may be expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting as well as through assigned lectures during the course of the year. You will receive your teaching assignments from the Director of Education.
There are resources available for start-up research and ongoing support. Faculty interested in doing research may apply for departmental research assistance and non-clinical time through the Director of Research.
Administrative and other duties may be assigned based upon department needs and your areas of expertise and interest. There will be opportunities to participate in departmental management and to serve on institutional committees.
