Job description

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Staff Physical Therapist, rotating. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to assigned patients within a supervised rehabilitation program.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. Initial assessment and evaluation of physical therapy needs for assigned patient populations, including reviewing medical charts, selecting assessment tools, and demonstrating clinical decision-making.
  3. Implements treatment plans according to professional standards, establishes treatment goals with patients and families, and assesses educational needs for patients and families.
  4. Completes all required documentation accurately, adhering to departmental and accreditation standards.
  5. Participates in clinical education of students and other professional development activities.
  6. Maintains a certain level of patient care productivity as indicated by unit procedures.
  7. Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required for treating the assigned patient population.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BLS certification or CPR/AED certification issued by AHA or ARC.
Required Licenses:
  • Phys Thrpst Temp Permit-NYS
  • Phys Thrpst License-NYS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
