Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Staff Physical Therapist, part time.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform initial assessment and evaluation of physical therapy needs for specific patient populations, reviewing medical charts and clarifying referral/treatment orders as necessary.
• Select appropriate assessment tools and methods to accurately determine patient status and develop an optimal treatment plan.
• Implement treatment plans and protocols according to current standards, establishing achievable goals with patients and families.
• Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing education and training during rehabilitation.
• Complete all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
• Participate in clinical education of students and other professional development activities.
• Maintain patient care productivity levels as indicated by individual unit procedures.
• Demonstrate continued proficiency in skills required for treating the assigned patient population.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, NYS Physical Therapy License or temporary permit, good communication skills, and BLS or CPR/AED certification.

Required Licenses:

Phys Thrpst Temp Permit-NYS, Phys Thrpst License-NYS

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
