Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy is seeking licensed physical therapists in Tennessee to assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide high-quality care. You will document progress and coordinate with physicians and insurers while mentoring staff and maintaining strict clinical protocols.

New graduates are welcome to apply; you will work in an autonomous clinic environment with access to mentoring, continuing education, and growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Current TN Physical Therapist license required.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
• Proficiency with EMR, database software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Review physician referrals and patient records to determine required therapy.
• Provide direct patient care per established protocols.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
• Supervise assistants and rehab technicians in patient care.
• Develop a plan of care with goals and a comprehensive program.

What You'll Do:

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
• Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
• Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program
• New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Current state of TN Physical Therapist license
• CPR certification
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
• Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office
