SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Become an integral part of a dynamic team of infusion pharmacists and technicians, providing critical support to adult and pediatric infusion centers at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's primary outpatient care site. This unique opportunity allows you to directly impact patient care by collaborating closely with providers, nurses, and patients, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge therapies. You will play a key role in evaluating complex oncologic and medical specialty treatment plans, providing essential education to nursing staff, representing pharmacy on vital committees, and championing sterile products' safe handling and preparation.

Our fast-paced, 365-day operation offers a day shift schedule. Team members rotate weekly between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM and 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM. Weekend responsibilities include a rotating shift every six weeks.

We seek candidates with prior experience in oncology, infusion, or specialty pharmacy, though we value a strong commitment to learning and growth. As a key team member, you will contribute to Penn State Health's mission of continuously improving patient health and well-being, staying at the forefront of evolving therapies and treatments in the infusion and sterile products space. We seek pharmacists passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to contribute to a collaborative and innovative environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required.
  • Current Pennsylvania Licensure or eligibility required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
