Job Summary

The Staff Pharmacist oversees pharmacy operations, delivers prescription products and consultations to customers, and supervises pharmacy technicians, interns, and clerks in compliance with federal and state laws as well as store policies.

Essential Functions
  1. Fill prescriptions following laws and policies: retrieve, measure, label, and audit.
  2. Assist customers and physicians with prescription and health inquiries per CS guidelines.
  3. Offer professional consultations per state and federal regulations.
  4. Communicate billing and dispensing procedures under CMS DMEPOS guidelines, including complaints.
  5. Participate in clinical programs and handle pharmacist-related phone inquiries.
  6. Collaborate with team members to ensure policy and legal compliance.
  7. Conduct monthly CII audits and maintain controlled substance records.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Verify prescriptions and check patient records.
  2. Order, stock, and maintain inventory of pharmacy products.
  3. Train pharmacy technicians and give performance feedback.
  4. Manage customer sales register and ensure pharmacy professionalism.
Other Duties
  1. Keep the pharmacy clean and organized.
  2. Attend training and policy update meetings.
  3. Maintain standards in management's absence and engage in clinical programs.
Environmental Factors
  • Exposure to cleaning and compounding chemicals, and bloodborne pathogens.
Job Requirements
  1. College degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
  2. Pass the NAPLEX and State Law Board exams.
  3. Valid state license and completion of required continuing education.
  4. Ability to adapt to changes and work as part of a team.
  5. Complete all mandatory training programs (e.g., HIPAA).
