The MetroHealth System in Valley View is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide retail pharmacy services and uphold our mission, values and patient care standards. The role emphasizes MTM and billing practices, with a focus on compliance and high-quality patient interactions.

This position requires Ohio Pharmacist Licensure, BLS certification within 90 days, and the ability to work a biweekly 80-hour schedule in rotating shifts across weekdays and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an Ohio board-approved institution.
• Hold a current Pharmacist License from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate from APhA or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of MTM billing practices.
• Brooklyn Heights Call Center: meets legal TDDD license requirements and obtain within 6 months.

Shift: 5a-4pm M-F, rotating shifts, Saturday 7-4p rotating

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from a State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved institution.
• Possesses a current Pharmacist License from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Possesses a current Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate from the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), or an equivalent certification from a program recognized by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of billing practices for Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Requirement specific to Brooklyn Heights Call Center:
• Meets the legal requirements for a Terminal Distributor of Dangerous Drugs (TDDD) license to be the Responsible Person for an Institutional Pharmacy as issued by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Obtains a TDDD license within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

• Pharm.D. degree from a State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved institution.
• Completion of an American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in time management, support staff supervision, problem identification/resolution, and decision-making.

Physical Requirements:

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
• Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
• Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
