Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year recent experience in an acute-care setting or two years' experience as a pharmacist preferred.
  • Knowledge of intravenous admixtures services and intravenous therapy is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Job Description

As a Staff Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include providing day-to-day operational needs with the dispensing of prescription medication as required to meet the needs and requirements of a long-term care pharmacy, adhering to the company’s quality and customer service standards, policies and procedures, and complying with state and federal guidelines.

Location: On site at our closed-door pharmacy (2700 Research Drive Suite 200, Plano, TX 75074, USA)

Schedule: PRN: 2nd shift 2pm-11pm and 3rd shift 11pm-8am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing new patient referral prescriptions, preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications
  • Collaborating with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications
  • Providing client care, including patient follow-up, monitoring clinical laboratory data, and working with physicians on dosing antibiotics
  • Performing accurate and efficient data entry
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
  • Adhering to safety practices and procedures
  • Enforcing company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Complying with all applicable regulations related to pharmacy practices
  • Maintaining a customer-focused approach to meet expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers, establishing effective relationships, and gaining trust and respect

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • Minimum of one (1) year recent experience in an acute-care setting or two (2) years' experience as a pharmacist preferred
  • Knowledge of intravenous admixtures services and intravenous therapy is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changes, with strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills
