Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in Indiana seeks a Staff Pharmacist to lead day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensure safe dispensing, counsel patients, and provide immunizations. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, oversee staff, and uphold patient safety and quality standards.

The role requires an active Pharmacist License in Indiana, an active NPI, and not being on the DEA Excluded Parties list. It is a full-time position with weekends and an extensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts without overlap, including coaching and follow-up
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, and coaching the team to do the same
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy
• Supporting inventory management with a focus on cold chain products and overall efficiency
• Ensuring operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies
