The Part-Time Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while delivering exceptional patient care. The pharmacist provides clinical consultation, prescription verification, medication counseling, and oversight of pharmacy operations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
This position offers ahighly flexible and negotiable schedule, allowing qualified candidates to work with management to develop a schedule that accommodates both pharmacy needs and personal availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications.
- Evaluate prescriptions for appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and therapeutic duplication.
- Provide patient counseling regarding proper medication use, side effects, adherence, and disease-state management.
- Answer medication-related questions from patients, providers, and healthcare staff.
- Perform prospective drug utilization reviews and clinical interventions as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support personnel.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of patient records.
- Assist in inventory management, medication ordering, and stock control.
- Monitor controlled substance inventory and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with prescribers to resolve prescription discrepancies and optimize patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.
- Support immunization services, health screenings, and other clinical programs as permitted by state law.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-centered pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Oklahoma.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication therapy, and applicable regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Exceptional problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Preferred
- Previous retail, ambulatory care, clinic, or Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
- Immunization certification.
- Experience with Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Experience with third-party insurance processing and prior authorizations.
