Position Summary

This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC), Office of the Deputy Associate Director, Clinical Services/Medical Director. It is a non-supervisory role reporting directly to the Supervisory Lead Pharmacist.

Eligibility

Open only to USPHS officers and Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review prescriptions, determine drug details, and ensure proper dispensing according to pharmacy policies.
  • Counsel patients on medication use, utilizing native language or available handouts.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, inspecting, and maintaining stock rotation.
  • Operate pharmacy equipment, package medications, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and participate in inventory and cleanliness maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Minimum Requirements
  • U.S. citizen, successfully pass background check and drug screening.
  • Must be a current USPHS Commissioned Corps Officer or CAD candidate.
  • Possess a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited program and a valid pharmacy license.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and pharmacy management.
  • Maintain CPR/BLS certification.
Physical and Educational Demands
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, and work in stressful environments.
  • Relevant education, skills, and experience in pharmacy practice and office technology.
Additional Information

Adhere to IHSC policies, manage supplies, and participate in inventory and compliance activities.
