Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in pharmacy
  2. Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing
  3. Ability to handle stressful situations
  4. Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  5. Effective oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
  1. At least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
  2. Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Responsibilities
  • Fulfill customers' prescription needs with a focus on accuracy
  • Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including HIPAA
  • Maintain professional appearance, conduct, attitude, and pharmacy standards
  • Develop knowledge of the trade area, customers, and competitors
  • Create a positive pharmacy department image through excellent service and friendliness
  • Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, policies, record keeping, security, sanitation, scheduling, and equipment operation
  • Maintain proper records and security for scheduled drugs, including controlled substances
  • Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources
  • Utilize accuracy tools appropriately, including scanners and audit reports
  • Maintain records for legal compliance, company policies, and reports
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment
  • Handle product returns timely and per policy
  • Maintain and organize equipment and reference materials
  • Ensure proper signage and professional appearance of the pharmacy
  • Continuously broaden pharmacy knowledge and skills
