Job summary

MedWiz Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate dispensing in a fast-paced closed-door setting serving long-term care and assisted living facilities. You will report to the Pharmacist-in-Charge and perform clinical review, final medication verification, and collaborate with prescribers and nursing staff to optimize therapy.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, sterile/non-sterile compounding, and quality assurance using pharmacy automation.

Qualifications

• PharmD or equivalent required.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical review and verification of prescriptions for appropriateness and safety.
• Collaborate with prescribers and nursing staff to optimize therapy.
• Provide drug information and clinical guidance to staff and providers.
• Accept and process verbal medication orders in compliance with regulations.
• Oversee compliance with federal/state/DEA/Board regulations and controlled substance management.
• Participate in quality assurance and support pharmacy automation.
